Acid-Reflux – Find a Natural Cure

Heartburn is a condition characterized by a wavelike, burning sensation in the upper chest and oesophagus that usually occurs within an hour of eating. At times, the experience of heartburn can be very uncomfortable, and even mimic sensations of heart disease. In most cases, however, heartburn symptoms tend to be fleeting and not serious in nature. Acid reflux can affect one in five people at least once a week. It can affect all ages, including children but the condition is known to be twice as common in men than women...

Indigestion/Hearburn cure is Apple Cider Vinegar. Take 1-4 TBSP (depending on how bad it is). I find taking it straight off the spoon is best. Works like a charm. You will either feel relief right away, or will start burping, then will feel relief. I spent $10,000 trying every supplement on the market trying to fix it. $2.99 ACV cured me.

My doctor said that I have too much acid in my throat which is making me cough sometimes and really bad other times. My DR. prescribed Omeprazole and I read the side effects and I refuse to take this drug.

Hi Colleen, you could try a salt inhaler. It only has natural Himalayan salt in it, you use it a couple of times a day and it really helps with the breathing. Good luck. Adel

Thank you marley. I have already explored most of those protocols. I was wondering if anybody had tried stem cells for disc re-growth. I know I cannot unscrew my twist.

i never take any drugs but I cannot breathe sometimes and have terrible heartburn despite an alkaline diet and good eating habits. My dilemma is that I have lost 5″ in spinal height from scoliosis and degenerative discs. I have lost the 5″ of thoracic volume and all my guts are squishing inside me. Does anyone hae any suggestions for me so I can breathe and NOT take any drugs?

    Hi Saul,

We would recommend you see a practitioner to see what you actually have if you are not sure.
However, if you believe it is trapped gas, avoid foods which are known to cause gas like cabbage, beans and broccoli.

Cycling is an option for relieving the symptoms.
The menthol in peppermint tea has an antispasmodic affect the intestines, thus allowing gas to pass.
According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Chamomile can be used to treat gas.

And finally you could try ginger slices soaked in lime after meals.

My husband has a bad case of acid reflux or heartburn or whatever the proper name of the condition is- he burps a lot, even when he’s just sitting in church or wherever. Some nights he says he has to sit up in order to burp out the gas? otherwise he feels like he can’t breathe. Any help?

    Hi Lesly,

Firstly, congratulations. Yes, she can. In Kt’s book he recommends a couple of teaspoons before each meal.

My esophagus is beet red and I do not get Heartburn. This condition was caused by what I breathed in on 9/11. I am a first responder and a retired NYC Police Officer. Doctors want me to take Nexium and I refuse to. Any help holistically you can give is appreciated. I will try raw apple cider vingar before each meal instead of once a day.

Take the “2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, raw, unpasteurized, and organic” before each meal.

I found a cure for acid reflux. I had it for years. I suspect that antibiotics were the cause of the condition.

When traveling, I ate yogurt at the hotel’s buffet for breakfast. I noticed that the yogurt had a very positive impact on my acid reflux. I then included it in my diet and saw the condition improve greatly.

Next, I found a natural cures book, and it recommended the use of 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, raw, unpasteurized, and organic. I did this regularly and noticed further improvement to eventually eliminating the condition. Now I still eat yogurt regularly (I found it also improves my digestion) and only take the vinegar if I notice a slight return of the reflux. I also eat pickled foods occasionally.

I used to have acid reflux. I stretch in a door way to get my stomach lining out of the flap in my stomach. Grab the door way top and lean your waist area in. This will remove the stomach lining and closes the flap. You have immediate relief. Continue doing this regularly to strenthen the muscles so the stomach lining does not get stuck again.

How about any cures for Barrets Esophagus?

For any one having acid reflux or any other heart burning. Get to a good chairopractor. that can check to see if you have Hiantal hernia. (sry for my spelling) This is what I had, I would burp in my sleep and the aicd would come up into my throt and gag me to point of not breathing. My chairopractor took his hands as I layed on my back and stood at my head and would push my stomache down towards my hips. Its been along time and it stiil doing great. I can eat anything I want, even if its right before bed. The little trap door that is to shut when your not eating, is held open by top part of stomache pushed up into esophgus. again sry for spelling.

The cure for acid reflux (heartburn) is to combine raw organic apple cider vinegar and combine it with some digetive enzymes that you can get at any health food store and have those two things together with each meal, the enzymes do two things for you #1 they help with the taste of the raw organic apple cider vinegar and #2 they will help your bodies digetive system break down the food that you eat and that will help prevent you from getting heartburn or acid reflux whatever you want to call it in the future!

One great cure for Acid Reflux is Dr. Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar!! i personally take a shot every morning! Any time the burn begins take a tea spoon of ACV! I would look into first what is causing the allergy yet while doing that ACV is wonderful!!

I was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cirrohis in April 10. I was wondering about any natural cures. I am told there are none by the doctors. I started taking milk thistle and eating dandelion. I was wondering if anyone else might have any comments or if this site will provide any guidance.

@ Mark Austin: KT just said today on his radio show that the NC site is going to have a major overhaul in the next month or so. Perhaps GERD/Barret’s will be specifically spelled out then. In the meantime you can do the “Ask the doctor” and get a personal response to your situation. Hope that helps!

  27. ROBERT CUSTER / September 16, 2010, 9:48 am

A lot of people suffer from Insomnia in the world today, there are two reasons why,#1 is bcause they are not sleeping on the right type of mattress because metal spring matresses will cause pressure points which restricts proper blood flow causing you to toss and turn all night and when the bed starts to wear out it creats a hammock effect which is not very healthy for your back(spine). #2 is the fact that the don’t get on and stay on a proper sleeping schedual. So do those two ideas and you will be cured.
